OSCAR CHUNKY BOBBLE HAT

By popular demand you can also knit my super popular Oscar Bobble Hat in Chunky (US Bulky) yarns too! 

This bobble hat has a simple cable repeat pattern which makes it the perfect project for a new knitter who is ready to explore cable knits!

This knitting pattern has instructions for the following sizes:
Newborn, Baby/Toddler, Child 2-8 years, Child 8-12 years, Teen/Adult

The hats shown here have been knitted with Valley Yarns Extrafine Superwash Bulky Merino Wool - Sold in 100gm balls.  Available via LoveCrafts.com (UK) and Yarn.com (US) .

You can also  choose any Chunky (US Bulky) yarns that recommend 6mm (US10) needles.

Tension
Stocking stitch                
10cms = 14 sts                   
10cms = 22 rows

Measurements
This cabled hat has a lot of stretch due to the ribbed knit throughout the hat.

You will need:

47 (78, 95, 140, 180) gm Valley Yarns Extrafine Superwash Bulky Merino Wool

 any other Chunky/Bulky yarns that recommend 6mm (US 10) needles 

NOTE: When choosing alternative chunky (US Bulky) refer to the yardage/meterage below as you may need either less or more yarn.
52 (86, 104, 154, 197) Yards
47 (78, 95, 140, 180) Meters

1 pair of 5mm (US8) single pointed needles / or DPNs or fixed circulars
1 pair of 6mm (US10) single pointed needles / or DPNs or fixed circulars
Cable needle 6mm (US10)
Pompom-maker

Separate detailed instructions are included to knit this hat either:
FLAT on a pair of SINGLE POINTED needles / or IN THE ROUND on DPNs or FIXED CIRCULARS
