ASTON CABLE BLANKET

Alternating cable and garter stitch patterns form block stripes across the width of this cosy textured blanket. A simple garter stitch border surrounds this blanket.... and like all my blankets it's knitted in one piece so there's no picking up for your trim! 

This knitting pattern includes instructions for DK Aran and Chunky blankets!

I've included a small square baby DK blanket that's perfect for buggies and car seats, and a longer rectangular DK blanket that's not only great for older babies at bed time, if you turn it on its side its a good size for swaddling / wrapping up little ones.

Due to lots of requests for larger blankets in chunkier yarns... this pattern also includes instructions for scaled-up ARAN and CHUNKY rectangular blankets too! 

The Medium Aran (US worsted) and Large Chunky (US Bulky) blankets / throws / afghans are perfect for cosy evenings on the sofa or an extra layer on your bed.

4.00mm (US6) long fixed circular needle
(The baby blankets can be worked on a pair of long 40cm single pointed needles if preferred).

DK (US LT Worsted)   22sts and 30 rows = 10cm/4in
