The simple repeat cable pattern that fills this aran bobble hat creates a gorgeous all-over textured effect.
Fold the rib trim for a fitted hat or wear the trim unfolded and flat for a tall elongated contemporary fashion look.
Choose to make your own woolly pompom or add a faux fur pompom .... both look great!
This easy cable is perfect for new knitters who are ready to explore cabling. You will just need to know how to work a simple C2F and C2B.
This knitting pattern has instructions for the following sizes:
0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months , 1-2 years, 3-5 years, 6-9 years, 10-12 years, Teen Adult S, Adult M/L
Separate detailed instructions are included to knit this hat either:
FLAT on a pair of SINGLE POINTED needles / or IN THE ROUND on DPNs
This hat looks it's best when it is stretched to fit onto your head. Each size has been calculated with this in mind

You will need
60 (70, 80, 90, 110, 130, 150, 170. 190) gm Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran
1 pair of 4mm (US6) single pointed needles / or 5 X 4mm (US6) dpns
1 pair of 5mm (US8) single pointed needles / or 5 X 4 ½mm (US8) dpns
1 X cable needle 5mm (US8)
Darning/tapestry needle

The hats shown here have been knitted in Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran. This yarn is available via LoveCrafts.com (UK) and Yarn.com (USA)
Choose these yarns OR any other aran (US Worsted) weight yarn that recommends 5mm (US8) needles.
Alternative recommended merino yarns are: Valley Yarns Superwash Merino Worsted / Sublime Extra Fine Merino Worsted / Lang Merino + Aran / Rico Essentials Soft Merino Aran, Debbie Bliss Rialto Aran
When choosing alternative aran (US worsted) yarns refer to the yardage/meterage below:
118 (138, 157, 177, 216, 255, 294, 334, 373) yards
108 (127, 144, 162, 198, 234, 269, 306, 342) meters
The yarn quantities include the yarn that is required for the following size pompoms
0-3m = Pompom maker 4cm (1½in)
3-6m-Adult = Pompom maker 6cm (2¼in)
