LITTLE LADYBIRD MITTENS
These adorable little ladybird baby mittens could keep a little boy or girl amused in their buggy!
These picture knits are worked flat and seamed for easy intarsia knitting. If you are a new knitter and not quite ready to work in intarsia this time, you can turn this pattern into a simple project by Swiss darning (duplicate stitching) the little ladybirds onto your mitts after knitting.
This knitting pattern has instructions for the following sizes:
0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months.
Choose any 4 Ply yarn (or sport yarn) that knits on 3.25mm (US3) needles to the tension listed below. The little mittens shown here were knitted in Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino.
10cms/4 inches = 25-26sts
10cms/4 inches = 34-35 rows

You will need:
A pair of 2.75mm (US2) single pointed needles
A pair of 3.25mm (US3) single pointed needles
Yarn used - Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino
15 (20. 25) gm Apple (002) (Main colour)
10(10,10) gm Ruby (700)
5(5,5) gm Black (300)
A tiny amount of White (100)
